RARE EARTH ELEMENTS IN SEDIMENTS OF WEST PHILIPPINE SEA AND THEIR IMPLICATIONS FOR SEDIMENT PROVENANCE

  • 西菲律宾海地质作用复杂,其表层沉积物稀土元素地球化学特征对其沉积物来源具有明显指示意义。基于西菲律宾海吕宋岛至九州帛琉洋脊之间海域表层沉积物样品的常量元素和稀土元素组成,通过对不同类型沉积区稀土元素组成、配分模式和稀土元素La/Yb和Sm/Eu比值进行研究发现,研究区沉积物中稀土元素组成受沉积物类型和物质来源控制,沉积物中黏土矿物、铁锰氧化物自生颗粒和磷灰石是稀土元素的主要富集相;吕宋岛与本哈姆高原之间海盆的沉积物含有来自吕宋岛蛇绿岩的物质,而中央裂谷以西海盆区和含结核黏土区沉积物主要由陆源风尘物质、海底火山物质和自生组分组成。
