DIATOM ASSEMBLAGES FROM SURFACE SEDIMENTS, WEST OF GREENLAND

摘要: 通过对西格陵兰附近海域表层沉积硅藻进行研究,并运用对应分析方法对硅藻种属及站点进行分析处理,研究结果表明,海冰种和极地种为该海域的优势种,而暖水种主要分布在拉布拉多海。根据对应分析站点的得分情况,将35个站点划分为5个硅藻组合,并对每个组合分布区域的环境影响因子,如:洋流、极地水团、陆地冰川融水等进行了分析,结果证明西格陵兰附近海域表层沉积硅藻的分布与上述环境因子密切相关。Abstract: Correspondence analysis was made for the diatom data from surface sediments in the west of Greenland. A total of 35 samples were divided into five assemblages based on the scores of samples, and the results show that the diatom assemblages are dominated by sea-ice species, Arctic species and cold-water species in the study area, whereas warm-water species mainly exist in the Labrador Sea. Moreover, the environmental variables (e.g. currents、polar waters、melt-water) of the west of Greenland were also discussed in this paper. It is proved that there is a good correlation between the diatom surface sediment assemblages and the environmental variables mentioned above.
