Abstract:
Coal series kaolinite is a kind of clay mineral included in flotation talings with high content and small size, which has a certain value in use.To study the distribution law of kaolinite and other minerals in flotation tailings, taking products by timed-release analysis of long-flame coal in Datong, gas coal in Wangjialing and coking coal in malan as the research object in this article, based on X-ray diffraction quantitative analysis with K value method, the distribution of kaolinite in flotation tailings at different ash content was explored, and the change law of main minerals and clean coal was analyzed based on XRD pattern..The results show that quartz and calcite are mainly enriched in flotation tailings, and kaolinite distributes in both products. With the increase of selection times, minerals weie changed into unique kaolinite.Under the influence of a single mineral, decrease rate of clean coal ash was reduced. In all XRD patterns,002 diffraction peak generated by coal structural unit is minimum in highest ash coal, background is lowest. With the decrease of ash, area of 002 diffraction peak was decreased, which shows clean coal constantly enriched in floats. Both the ash of product and the content of kaolinite were gradually decreased with the increase of selection times, presenting a positive correlation which conforms quadratic function.Research finding reveals the connection between ash and kaolinite and other minerals in the process of coal flotation. It can provide quantitative index for extraction of kaolinite from flotation tailings.
