辽南与吉南、苏皖及朝鲜北部上先寒武系相对应的岩石地层、生物地层、磁性地层等单位的特征基本相同。例如:辽南和吉南的南芬组与苏皖北部的刘老碑组均为页岩,产宏观藻类Chuaria等,朝鲜北部的五峰里组虽未获上述化石,但其岩性亦是页岩;辽南金县群顶部葛屯组底部砾岩为冰川沉积物,它与苏皖北部的凤台组、罗圈组及飞狼洞的冰积岩特征相同,它们的层位也相当;又如辽南桥头反磁性期与苏皖北部寿县反磁性期是一致的,且均为石英岩组成。总之,辽南与吉南、苏皖及朝鲜北部上先寒武系的沉积层序和岩性恃征相同,并产有相同的宏观藻及叠层石组合,一致的反极性期,它们可逐层进行对比,为同一地质构造环境和同一时期的沉积产物。
Abstract:
The upper Precambrian of southern Liaoning display similarities to that of southern Jilin, Jiangsu-Anhui and northern Korea with respect to the features of corresponding lithostratigraphic units, biostratigraphic units and magnetostratigraphic units. For example, the Nanfen Formation in southern Liaoning and southern Jilin and the Liulaobei Formation in northern JiangsuAnhui are both represented by shale and yield macro-algae such as chuaria. Although no macro-alga fossils have been found in the Wufengli Formation of northern Korea, its lithology is shale too. The conglomerate at the base of the Getun Formation at the top of the Jinxian Group in southern Liaoning is glacio-eolian deposits, which are lithologically and stratigraphically consistent with the Fenglai and Luoquan Formations and the tills of Feilangdong in northern Jiangsu-Anhui. The reverse polarity epoch at Qiaotou of southern Liaoning is in agreement with that at Shouxian of northern Jiangsu-Anhui, both being marked by quartzite. In summary, the upper Precambrian of southern Liaoning is consistent with that of southern Jilin, Jiangsu-Anhui and northern Korea in respect to the structure of the sedimentary section and the lithology of corresponding lithostratigraphic units, and both yield the same macro-alga assemblage and stromatolite assemblage and have the same reverse polarity epochs, allowing a layer-by-layer correlation, so they are synchronous sediments deposited in a sedimentary basin controlled by the same regional tectonic setting.
