Sediment provenance and distribution in Caofeidian, Bohai Bay, revealed by offshore detrital mineral analysis

  • 为深入了解曹妃甸近岸表层沉积物碎屑矿物来源及分布特征,对该区161个表层沉积物样品进行碎屑矿物分析。结果表明,研究区共鉴定出11种轻矿物和27种重矿物,其中,轻矿物以长石、石英和片状矿物为主,质量百分含量平均值为82.2%;重矿物以角闪石、绿帘石和自生黄铁矿为主。根据碎屑矿物的组合分布特征及其聚类分析,研究区可分为3个矿物区:滦河矿物区、混合源区和黄河矿物区。研究认为,物源是控制研究区碎屑矿物组合与分布的主要因素,曹妃甸填海造陆活动改变了研究区周边水动力及沉积环境,进一步影响了该区碎屑矿物分布特征。
